A male choir and a female director. A family and a small community which need to find bindings, for future challenges. A kaleidoscope of characters gives irony and rhythm to this tale of a small world facing climate change, and the determination of a young woman discovering again the beauty of music.

DIRECTOR

RENZO CARBONERA graduated with a thesis on British director Ken Loach at the University of Padova. He then took an Audiovisuals Master Degree, with seminars by renowned professionals like Academy Award winners Roberto Perpignani, Vincenzo Cerami and Vittorio Storaro. He has Italian and German citizenship, speaks Italian, German and English fluently, and lives between Hamburg and Vicenza. He is 36 years old, directed 9 TV documentaries, all of them distributed and broadcasted worldwide, supported by Italian and German Regional or State funds, and by Media/Creative Europe. The production companies he works with include SD Cinematografica, Kinè, Eikon Media, DM Films and Interzone Pictures. Renzo also works as script writer and script doctor, especially in Germany. Furthermore, he directed two fiction short films, both premiered at the Venice Film Festival, then selected and awarded in more than 30 international film festivals (including Raindance, Tirana, Clermont-Ferrand, New Delhi, Naoussa, Bari BiFest, Corto Dorico, Capo D’Arco). Resina is his first feature film.
