THE SAMURAI IN AUTUMN is a social melodrama with laughs, tears, heartbreaks and lots of fist fights. A karate champion falls from grace after being caught in a doping scandal. He returns to his birthplace, a small town in Serbia and finds redemption by falling in love with a single mother whose son participates in his karate class. Unable to maintain his lifestyle, he secretly enters the underground fighting circuit and risks losing it all.

DIRECTOR

DANILO BECKOVIC was born in 1981. Bećković’s first feature film, Little Buddho, is one of the most sensational debutes in the history of Serbian cinema. This black comedy took regional cinemas by surprise, breaking numerous box office records and becoming an instant cult classic. It was soon followed with THE SAMURAI IN AUTUMN, the first Serbian martial arts film ever made. Spectacular fight scenes, exceptional Hollywood stuntmen crew and the cast packed with regional stars made it into a monster hit. The film also received huge critical acclaim and it is widely regarded as one of the best regional movies of the year.
