ROBERT JAN WESTDIJK is a Dutch filmmaker who burst onto the scene in 1995 with his debut film ZUSJE (LITTLE SISTER), awarded with the Best Film award at the Netherlands Film Festival and went on to win 12 awards at film festivals around the world. The following years he directed 4 more feature films which were successful at the Dutch box office and amassed a total of 8 national Dutch film awards and 11 nominations. But after shooting the highly commercial thriller THE DINNER CLUB (2010), he took a break from filmmaking, in search for a new balance and purpose.
